Growing in Christ Bookstore

Make sure you take the time to stop by the Christian Education bookstore located just inside Fellowship Hall. The bookstore is constantly getting new products so come check out what we have. Remember, the money earned at the bookstore goes to Christian Education to help support our children and youth programs.

Sunday School

Pre-K – 5th grade are invited to come up and join us for Sunday school each Sunday following Kids Konnection. This is a great opportunity for our young people to learn more about the Bible. If you have grandkids or friends, please invite them to church and Sunday school- we would love to have them visit.

Do the words “Bible Quiz” send shivers down your spine? Would you like to have a better understanding of the Bible? Pastor David will be teaching a 6-week course on “Bible Basics” starting January 23, 2019. Sign up today online @ Group will meet Wed. @ 10 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. Soon you will be enjoying the study of God’s Word and shouting the answer to “What does The Pentateuch, the five scrolls and the Torah have in common?” (come out on Jan. 23rd to find the answer)!

Contemplative Prayer Discussion Group

Beginning Tuesday, January 22, at 10 am and 7 pm, the Rev. Paul Tomlinson will lead this Contemplative Prayer study based on the book Guarding the Heart by Michael Connell. The author, a trained and practicing spiritual director, often begins his prayer time with these words: “One with you Dear God, I am united with all creation in this sacred moment of prayer. I open my heart in faith to You and to Your infinite blessings.” Prayer is a time of opening our heart to our God. This group will explore a variety of contemplative prayer styles and encourage putting these prayers into practice during the week.  Reading the book is optional but recommended.

Adult Sunday School

The Adult Sunday School class will resume March 10 between services (9:45 to 10:30). Sign-up is available at the SERVE counter.
