Who told you who you are?

 Was it a parent who believed in you—or one who wounded you?
A teacher who encouraged you—or a critic whose words still echo years later?
Was it your greatest accomplishment?
Your worst failure?
Your job title?
Your relationship status?
Your bank account?

The truth is, we all live from some understanding of our identity. And the voice we allow to name us will eventually begin directing our lives.
