Thursday’s Thoughts from Pastor David!

Joseph and Detours!

Joseph teaches us something crucial during Advent: sometimes God’s most important work begins when our plans fall apart. Joseph had his life mapped out — a marriage to Mary, a quiet home, a predictable future. But then came the delay he never expected.

God’s message to Joseph began with identity: “Joseph, son of David…” Before God gives direction, He reminds us who we are. And then comes the invitation: “Do not be afraid.” Divine delays often begin as disruptions, but they become doorways to God’s greater purpose.

This week, let us ask:
Where are we experiencing a detour?
What expectations are being challenged?
Where might God be working in a delay that frustrates us?

Joseph’s obedience turned disruption into destiny. May ours do the same.

Grace and peace,
Laugh Often and Fear not!
David!
