Thursday’s Thoughts from Pastor David!
“Mile-Marker One: Into the Wilderness”
We begin our Lenten journey in an unexpected place.
Not at a feast.
Not at a miracle.
Not at a parade.
But in a wilderness.
Matthew tells us that the Spirit led Jesus there. That sentence alone challenges how we think about difficulty. What if the dry seasons are not detours—but divine formation?
Before Jesus preached.
Before He healed.
Before He carried a cross—
He faced hunger, silence, and temptation.
This Sunday we begin The Road of the Redeemed. And the first mile-marker may feel closer to home than we expect.
Wilderness is uncomfortable.
But what if transformation begins exactly there?
Join us as we step onto the road together.
See you Sunday!
Grace and peace,
Laugh Often and Fear not!
David!
